Honorand Nominations
We invite all members of the Trinity community to submit nominations for Commencement 2025. The Honorands Review Committee, composed of faculty, staff, students, and Board of Trustees representatives, will review the nominations. The committee will make recommendations to President Joanne Berger-Sweeney, who will submit nominations to the Board of Trustees in April for final approval.
The deadline for submission of nominations for 2025 honorary degree recipients is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024.

Eligibility for Nominations
All members of the community, the president, trustees, faculty (individually or jointly), staff, students, alums and families, and other members of the College community may nominate candidates to receive honorary degrees. However, a nomination to the committee does not guarantee selection or approval. Honorary degree nominations for sitting faculty, trustees, or staff will not be considered. We strongly encourage you to provide details for each section of the nomination form to ensure the review committee has thorough information to evaluate your nominee.
Commencement Speakers
We also welcome nominations for commencement speakers. It is college practice that individuals delivering the commencement address also receive honorary degrees; therefore, nominations for commencement speakers follow the honorary degree nomination process. Occasionally, an individual not being conferred an honorary degree may serve as the commencement speaker.
